If you are seeking a fast way to get clear skin you may be in need of some helpful tips. This should get you through the day as it covers a wide variety of aspects pertaining to diet and lifestyle.

  • Drink plenty of water. This is one sure way to keep your skin hydrated. It will also help keep your pores from being clogged.
  • Gently wash and/or scrub your face every day. It helps to open your pores with warm water and gentle facial cleanser and then to rinse with cool water to seal your facial pores.
  • Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. This will ensure that you get the daily servings of vegetable that your skin needs. Try a few purple, green, yellow, and orange varieties for instance.
  • Take at least one tablespoon of mixed fresh seeds in a day. For instance, it could be pumpkin or sunflower seeds or sesame seeds. Maybe incorporate them into a salad or sandwich.
  • Eat a source of Omega oils such as salmon at least twice a week. Also take fish or flax oil supplements regularly. You could also seek acai berry, avocado, or almonds as an Omega oil source, particularly Omega-3.
  • Eat foods high in fiber. This will help you digest what you eat on a daily basis much faster. It will also help your body process foods in the right way. Black, kidney, and lentil beans along with a variety of fruit and vegetables will get you the fiber you need.
  • Eat lower fat foods. For instance, you can find cheese or sour cream made from low-fat or skim milk. You can also find leaner cuts of beef or chicken, or you can eat more fish products. Try to avoid bacon, brats, and other fatty meats.  
  • Use alcohol, tea, or coffee very sparingly. Alcohol should be consumed only occasionally at the very most and coffee or tea no more than two cups per day.
  • Avoid eating too much salt. For example, be careful how much chips, crackers, popcorn, fried chicken or other fried foods you eat. These often have a source of trans fat in them that clogs the pore.
  • Avoid most salty and sugary foods. Particularly chocolate or potato chips or pizza can cause acne. The same applies to cakes, pastries, breads, and pasta made with white flour and white sugar.
